Thanksgiving Extravagance

too much turkey...
too much pie...
too much stuffing...
just too much
what a wonderful gathering!!!
Every year I say the same thing but every year ....
what a fun party!
It looked a bit like this...

Early Morning Pie-Making
Turkey Preparation
Apple and Baguette Stuffing
Table Preparation...
Dinner for 11.... kids had their own table which they love....
I love a very simple table...

the addition of a few red maple leafs for a hit of colour....

with a touch of them on the grape vine wreath...
a few pumpkins at the entrance
and we were all set
for another Thanksgiving Estravaganza!!

                       Mosaic Monday

  1. Looks as though you had a wonderful holiday! Your pies look so delicious.

  2. Thanks Gina! They were amazing. I love a good home-made crust but sometimes lack the patience. This year it was a collaborative effort and it worked!

  3. It looks beautiful! I'm sure you had a wonderful time gathered together. Did you use a dropcloth for the table? I like that idea.

  4. Thanks Pamela. Yes, I did. I have never found a tablecloth long enough for this table. So, I had to rely on the drop cloth. I think I will look for one in time for Christmas. Perhaps I will just buy the material and make my own.

  5. I agree there is something so comforting in having the same menu every year. I love it. Your table is so simple and so pretty.

  6. Fantastic autumn post! Grand pies here. Thanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)

  7. Love your table setting and the pumpkins giving a warm welcome outside! Have a great week1

  11. Happy {belated} Thanksgiving! Everything looks lovely. I know y'all had a blessed celebration!

  12. The pies look fantastic and the stuffing sounds wonderful. My favourite! I like how you set your table and the beautiful room in which it is housed. Lucky Thanksgiving guests, I'd say.
Thank you so much for visiting my post.

  13. Those pies had to have gone over well...they are beautiful and so is your table! Love the pumpkins going up to your porch...very festive! Happy Thanksgiving!
