Promise...
yes I do...
this is it for the Maritimes posts...
but you see...
this is it for the Maritimes posts...
but you see...
we had to make one stop on our way home from Nova Scotia...
St. Andrew's by the Sea,
New Brunswick!
Yep, this was our last stop....
Yep, this was our last stop....
the Bay of Fundy is known for having the highest tides in the world!!
Impressive, don't you think??
Well, it was enough for us to turn our steering wheel west
when leaving the ferry in St. John!!
Of course my credit for a free night at the local Fairmont hotel helped convince us too!!!

We were approximately 10 metres from the shore at this point so
that gives you an idea!
Actually, this youtube video may give you a better understanding.
This fisherman was making use of the low tide and cleaning the hull of his boat.
the number of sailboats in the harbour were matched by the number of small
boats at the wharf!
Again, a similar door to the robin-egg blue from Chester.....hmmmm.....
we do have a new door in our future!!! Maybe that style is it!!

And...of course
this village holds its own unique beauty in regards to architecture.
Something out of a children's fairy tale book??
and then again...
very similar to Nova Scotia...
We also chose to take advantage of some points and stay at the Fairmont Algonquin Hotel
And then,
with much hesitation we packed it up and headed home
back to Québec...
so that was it for the Maritimes
but we will be back to explore this wonderful
area...
Fare thee well!!!
