Cleaning house - well, cleaning up my reading list

Well, I got up this morning
with a cup of tea and sat down to do a little blog reading
and decided at the same time to get rid of some blogs...
sorry about that
but these are blogs that
are obviously dormant, finished, over, no longer being updated.
But for the life of me I cannot seem to do it.
When I try to manage my blog list
I am faced with this
bX-jc5mw7

Can anybody help me?
oh, and today is a two-post day for me - I hope....
since I am going to share a little project that I have been
working on....little but oh so practical.

Update:  I figured it out....problem solved.

  1. I don't know what this means Donna. I cleaned up a few blogs recently but didn't have a problem. I sent an email to one of the bloggers that hadn't posted in a long while and she wrote back. I was so pleased. She's just been busy and hopes to get back to blogging again. One never knows where they are or why. I hope you can find out what this is. Pamela

    1. Well I think the ones I am trying to delete from my reading list having probably stopped blogging. Their last posts were in the summer of 2011. I did enjoy them but I would like my list to now contain only active blogs. It is a rather long list. :)
I will let you know if I find an answer. It appears that this question has been asked already by many people on blogger but no responses are forthcoming.

  3. I really need to clean up my side bar, too... but when it comes down to it, I'd just rather read other posts instead so I never actually get around to it! It's not the fun part of blogging I guess! andrea@townandprairie

    1. Andrea you are so right. I don't like deleting dormant blogs as I know that people can leave their blog and come back. Unfortunately after 6 months of no action I assume that they have left their blog for good. It feels a bit 'mean' to stop following but I had about 10 blogs that have been dormant since the summer of 2011. Anyway, to do so you need to go directly to their blog, sign in to the blog and then on the settings you select "stop following".
