Whistler 2012

Okay, I think it has to do with the Cancer sign in me...
not that I am an astrology nut in anyway
but one thing for sure is,
I love to travel
and
I love coming home!
so here I am, back in my little nest and lovin' it
So....
ready to share some random photos of Whistler, British Columbia...
well, mountains, mainly the mountains
on the only day the sun came out to play!
This is the Peak 2 Peak gondola which basically leaves you hanging between two peaks as it carries you across the valley! Quite the trip!
Skiing two different peaks is superb!
This little one was sitting next to me admiring the view! Love the flower!!
I was tempted to get one for my helmet....
hmmm...
 maybe not?
At least I had the pleasure of squinting into the sun one day for the camera!
And basically that is the view you enjoy as you ski down from above the tree line heading for the trees!
Beauty, true beauty!

  3. I love the mountains and these pictures show off their beauty. I don't think I'd enjoy the gondola ride peak to peak though as I'm terrified of heights. (I spent one whole winter on the bunny hill as I was afraid to take the chair lift for the other runs) Glad you're home and enjoyed your trip. Have a great weekend! Pamela

    1. A lot of people told me that they were unable to ride the peak to peak so I was a bit nervous but it was so amazingly beautiful and provided a completely different perspective. I loved it.

  4. Oh, Donna...you are a lucky duck! I have always wanted to ski Whistler, but I never have. Mr. Art @ Home has, and he loved it!

You look cute in your helmet. :D

    1. I felt lucky and the pleasure of skiing above the treeline is hard to describe but if you are a skier then I am certain you can imagine what that is like or perhaps you have already done that too. Amazing!
