Cookbook Love

I am not sure why but there are two times in the year when
I really get the urge to buy new cookbooks.....
and that is spring and fall.

I tend to search for cookbooks in the spring that will provide some good fresh eats in the summer months
and of course in the fall
I am looking for books that give some fresh ideas on winter comfort food
So as I mentioned yesterday
I was riding the rails to work in Montréal
and
that gives me a chance to purchase some English cook books ....

So, it didn't take long to find this book, Seasons by donna hay.

First off the book cover is beautiful!
and
the recipes are simple which I love and the ingredients are easy to find. ( a must!)

oooohhhhhh.....chocolate recipes galore.....

great images throughout....

and every page I turn I find a recipe that only requires a trip to my local market...

oh yah....that is definitely a two spoon pudding cake!!
I have a special birthday dinner on the weekend so
I will share my dinner choices with you then!
and....yes, I have a few other things to share.... I know

  2. I have never read a Donna Hay cookbook. I must take a gander at one next time I am in Chapters. That pudding cake looks delicious...I am reading this at 8:30 am and could eat that for breakfast!
