Spring Fever - Ottoman Delight

I know, I know.....I changed my header again.
Well, I am putting that down to a need for some "light" and some "airy" in my day....
the black border was just getting to me.... what can I say?

However, on a more interesting note....

I saw this great idea in the latest edition of House and Home magazine.
Although I have to admit I have not been loving the magazine lately as much as I used to
but
there I was, soaking in the tub last night..... hey I know that some of you read mags from the comfort of a bubble bath...right?
Anyway,
had my reading glasses on, mag in hands,  bubbles galore and then
I just happened upon this image!

House and Home Magazine, April 2012, p. 46

It is titled, Best of Show, Lynda Reeves dissects the secrets of one great room.
So, what is the big deal? Nothing special, right?

Well, you see,
I happen to have this large ottoman in the middle of our living great room that I am soooo over
but I have nothing to replace it and it is very practical and nobody around here wants to see it go.

Practical does often win the battle around this house.....

Harry

But looking closely at that image,
I noticed that the seating arrangement looks like a series of different size ottomans
and it all looks so very comfortable.

Not really my own style but it did give me an idea of what to do about old Harry up there....
you know what I mean....those pieces of furniture that just don't give up even though you are hoping and praying that they will break down sooner than later!
However,
it is comfortable along with practical and it is a guaranteed hit around this house....

So, I am off to pick up some lovely material that I saw the other day along with some batting, is that what you call that stuff that acts as a liner and provides a touch of softness?

Well, the point is, I am about to give Harry a facelift.
This old boy is about to lose 10 years and gain some "swag"...
Yep, I said swag....which according to my teenage son is a more hip way of stating that something is cool, unique....got its own thing goin' on.....
following me?
Yep,  Harry Makeover on the way!

  6. Your header looks fabulous. I am looking forward to Harry's transformation. I covered 2 little stools for under a sofa table. One turned out better than the other but side by side you can't really tell. :o) Good luck. Thanks for visiting my blog. Your comments are lovely.
