Christmas Cookie Week Coming Up

This is it for me....
the time to decorate for Christmas and get started on my Christmas baking.

And, this year I am joining some other bloggers to create a week of Cookie recipes and ideas.
It starts on Monday.

I am baking today and tomorrow and posting a different recipe every day of next week.
Dangerous....I know....but hey, I have got to set the mood with some great smells lingering around the house because this weekend it is all about sprucing this place up for Christmas.

  2. Ooh lovely, looking forward to it. I've made a few batches of Lebkuchen (in honour of the boss, who is part German) recently for the café in which I work, but it's hard putting them out for customers when I just want to eat them all myself !

    1. I use the term cookie loosely Maureen. I have quite a few "bars" that are in my list.

  7. reading this late ... but makes me wonder if that is where the expression sprucing the place up comes from - Christmas, when we put evergreens- including pieces of spruce for fragrance- throughout our home. HMMMM - all this time and I didn't recognize the connotation of that expression. Thanks for helping me clue in.

    1. Good eye for detail. It was subtle I know but that is how I interpret the expression. Perhaps it only applies in more northern climates.
