I am painting and painting and painting....
these bookshelves
but at the same time I am listening
but at the same time I am listening
to Genevive....
from the Gaspé coast of Quebec, Canada.
She is young,
her singing is raw and real
and I think she has talent....
she represents
everything that appears precarious
in youth
as they venture out into the world
singing the cover of their idols such as Adele....
oh to be at this stage in your life!
I hope you enjoy this
... but please do
tell me what you think?

Wow...there is such *feeling* in her voice. She is destined to be a star, I think. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteRicki Jill, I agree with you totally. Don't you love hearing a fresh new voice!
DeleteWhat a beautiful voice! Such strength, yet so soft.
ReplyDeleteI would love, love to hear more from Genevive!

Caroline, check her out on Youtube. She has another cover up there and it is equally good. Perhaps I should post that one as well.
DeleteShe sounds very good! I have heard of Adele but don't know her singing as I never listen to pop music. This girl sounds a bit like that Drew who was on the X Factor last fall.
ReplyDeletePamela, I never even though of that initially but you are so right. She does have that same effect as Drew.
DeleteThank you so much for sharing - that girl has some real talent! It sounds gorgeous!

I agree with all of you. Genevive may be singing Adele but I will be interested to see what happens when she posts her own music. A lot of emotional appeal in her voice. Grabs you and draws you right in.
DeleteDoes she write her own music as well?
ReplyDeleteI know her and we call her Emily Robyn She is shy but music brings her out. She has lots of songs and has written a few. Mostly piano pieces. She is 17 and is a talented fine arts student. We love her and thank you all for the kind words
ReplyDeleteThanks for filling us in with that information. Her mother sent me this link and I am certainly happy to share her lovely voice here so others get to hear her.
