I remember seeing this image years ago and loving the use of the long bench with the
gallery wall....it all worked for me then and it works for me now.
So, that was inspiration number one.
Given that I have a lovely old bench
and a gallery wall looking for a new home
(fireplace is kicking it out.... well, off.... the wall....)
And here we go again,
below I want you to
focus your eye on the wall....
yes, the horizontal wood boards.
We had some pretty ugly wood walls....ooops, the fake variety ....you know... 70's panelling
on the wall.
So, I needed some inspiration for that too.
Okay. Well, I am not giving you too much here
except two points of inspiration and a small peek
into our basement reno....

I was wondering how your fireplace is coming along. I can see where you are going with the horizontal wall boards and I like it. That photo with the pale blue wall and the black and white framed prints is gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you're doing!
ReplyDeleteThe fireplace is actually happening on the main level of our home. This is the basement project....the never-ending basement project, if you know what I mean. We have re-done the walls, painted, bought some comfy lounge-y furniture and turned it into a TV room. I think we are going to love having this space.....FINALLY.
