I feel like I have been working non-stop these day!!
Time to switch gears a bit!
Our old chair in the basement TV room has been looking a little sad these days but given its age, 18, what more can I expect? It was an Ikea "as is" find for 50$ so really it has done well over the years. Various slipcovers have adorned its simple frame and even now it will not be going to the side of the road but rather up the stairs to my son's bedroom. He figures that he probably owns most of those stains so in some strange way it belongs to him.
Hey....no argument here!
And believe me, he is one happy camper....did not even flinch at the idea of having toile in his bedroom!
Doesn't know what toile is...just knows that he is getting a well-worn in piece of furniture.
So, still feeling the pinch of this past years renovation.....I need to be thrifty in my attempt to replace it.
And....I think I have found the solution.
I found this on Kijiji for $20!!!! This is the photo from the site. On my way to pick it up.
Well, hope I get lucky with the material. I will be back on Sunday with the results!
Update.....it's all done, I think, click the photo below if you want to see...

Here is the plan....paint the wood in a creamy white and find some heavy cotton to re-upholster the cushions. |
