Gallery Wall Complete!
If you read my post, Time for a Gallery Wall? then you will know that I have been wondering what to do with this rather large wall at the end of our living room.
This is feeling like a big risk, nails, multiple nails are going in to this wall. Not everyone around here is sure about my decision but hey, it is only a wall...right?
So...here is how it went...
The Before!! |
The process began this way, assembling all the pieces of art that I had to work with. I threw in a mirror as well. |
I was not sure where to place the mirror even though I had my layout already conceived on the floor. Lighting was such an issue. |
With the addition of each piece I got more and more excited about the potential results! |
At this point there felt like there was no turning back on my arrangement...but still loving it. |
Almost done! |
Et Voila! Still lots of room to add in more artwork but it adds such a beautiful touch of warmth to the room that you want to be there. |
Now an inspirational spot to read! |
The after shot. So, although, this felt like a risk, everybody seems happy! I think the kitchen reno, which felt like an even bigger risk put them at ease....or made them decide that I was a run-away horse!! A tantôt! linking this up to: National Take a Risk Day |
Your gallery wall looks amazing. I've been wanting to do one of those walls in my house for awhile now. I don't think they are easy to do, but you nailed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace. I too had been thinking about that but constantly worrying that it would look kinda junky? I think the decision to buy the mirror really helped me to have a clear starting point. Anyway, I am happy with the results.
