Winter Pantry Skirt??
Sounds odd doesn't it.
It is very hard to find a good selection of fabric
in the city of Québec
so I am looking on-line where the selection seems to be extensive!
In my last post I mentioned
that I would like to shake it up a bit with my curtain choice in the pantry....
well, actually it is a curtain that conceals the rather ugly looking washer and dryer.

These are all choices from Fabric.com and no this is not an advertisement for them...
although perhaps they want to send me a cheque???? ;)
doubt that...but anyway,
I want to make a decision before my real life....work that is
takes over!!
Any suggestions?
oh and cannot figure out why my numbers are being hidden by the image....annoying...sorry.

Are these choices too predictable?

I don't know what I would pick, Donna. They're all such pretty patterns, it's a toss up really. I do love the toile though and I don't think they are too predictable at all.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your post last night, I thought toile. I pick number 4. It's not as formal and think of all the accessories you can put with that blue and white! Delft, flow blue, white ironstone, Quimper, aged zinc... I'm giddy at the thought! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful, but my first choice would be #7 and my second choice #4.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, as I do love the pantry 'skirt'. Are you currently shivering in the cold? It has been a strange winter across the country. Here on Vancouver Island, I won't tell you what it is in bloom - let's just say it is white and only blooming in sheltered spots! I know, I know, you didn't want to know about that.
Happy New Year. Peg
I love this idea! All of your choices are great! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would go with number 4...Although the others are quite pretty look around at your surroundings. I know that you will pick the right one for you.
ReplyDeleteI like 2 and 6....
ReplyDeleteI started with number 4, but then number 5 stood out, then numbers 7 and 8 did too. All I can say is best of luck, those are some beautiful fabric choices ;)
ReplyDeleteI like # 1 for summer and 3 or 4 or 7 for winter. They are all so pretty. Tough decision. Can't wait to see your choice done up!
ReplyDeleteFive is my favorite. I like the large scale of the pattern.

Now I love #1 -- that green and pink and that big gorgeous print -- wouldn't that just make you SMILE even though it's covering up the washer and dryer?
ReplyDeleteGo bold. But then, I always go bold with fabric, so I may not be the best one to advise! But in my time, I've only ever regretted going to tame with color and pattern -- and always loved the bigger statements.
I love that #1 is a traditional design in an untraditional colorway. Let us know what you decide!
(Have you ever looked at fabricguru.com?)

Not traditonal at all! Very refreshing! andrea@townandprairie
ReplyDeleteOkay, decisions to be made. Unfortunately the shipping to me in Canada is going to be a bit pricey....so I am studying this carefully. Whatever that means! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks all for the suggestions. Cass, I looked into fabricguru but they won't ship to Canada....
I really like the brighter patterns...but I am just drawn to them right now for some reason...1,3,5 and 7.
ReplyDeleteThe navy pattern is also really pretty and may go better with your decor? I don't know...all of them are beautiful and would look lovely I am sure!
thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting and also for following! I am following you as well now. I look forward to seeing what you do with this idea!

I would agonize over which fabric to choose too. I'm going to cast my vote for the first two though - they look a little light and bright which we all need at this time of the year. I'm looking forward to the final decision.
