And yet again? It seems like it belongs to somebody else as well..... Perhaps there a lot of bloggers in Chester, Nova Scotia or a lot of tourists that just happened down this little back road or......
You may not have read the whole story and if not just click below.....
I have always loved the colour of this door as well as the door itself.
I took this photo in Chester, Nova Scotia during a summer road trip in 2011.
And look.... the same door?
I saw this on Pinterest and it really caught my eye....yes there are differences but the similarities
are uncanny!
What's up?

What are the differences? Someone changed out the door knocker ( so easy to do with photo shop!!! )
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely the same door - even the concrete slab at the base of it is identical - and the brick color? Me thinks it's the exact same door that someone pinned from your site

It certainly does look like my original photo which was taken with my little iPhone3.
DeleteLooks like the same door to me. They took out a few items, but all looks the same.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree.... what's up!!
Well, I think that this gal is pretty good with Photoshop myself. I certainly do not claim that this is a great photo in the sense of camera quality but I find this really distasteful!
DeleteIt definitely looks like your door, it certainly is a pretty door, I wish mine looked like that.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
I agree it definitely looks like the same door. Hmmm...?
ReplyDeleteThat's the same door. You can see the same view into the backyard. Maybe someone else took the same pic after the planters were changed. Nice to know your taste in doors is so popular! ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteOh dear. This is happening a lot now. That is definitely the same door/photo but someone has done some pretty good editing. The numbering really looks fake as does the door knocker but they did a good job on removing the containers of flowers and adding the other ones. The door mat is the same but they made it look like a coco fiber mat. If you look inside the sidelights you can see the same furnishings. The second photo looks like it's taken from a bit different angle too as you can see a bit of a building through the third pane of glass of the right sidelight that doesn't show on yours. The only other answer is that someone who lives in the Chester took a recent photo this summer! Coincidence?
ReplyDeleteIt has to be the same door, just tweaked somewhat! It's beautiful & I would imagine completely unique. Someone has been very sneaky.
ReplyDeleteWow you had me scrolling up and down there. No doubt about it same door. Intergrity is a foreign word to many !
ReplyDeleteIt is definitely the same door, but I'm not convinced it is the same photo because in the other photo you can see some of the room inside through the sidelights and that is very hard to add with photoshop. I think someone else admired the same house you did (who knows, maybe even the owner). It sure is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteYou are probably right Grace. Sad thing about this door is that it looks like they had a rough summer with the planters.... perhaps I should send the owner my pic so they can remember how it looked in 2011?
DeleteHi, Nicole here, new follower via Simply Vintageous! It is definitely the same door, which is gorgeous by the way, I LOVE doors myself. It is however a different pic taken at a different time, because the lighting is different and the angle is slightly different. I agree with Grace, nobody is that good at photoshopping or have that much imagination to add the extra stuff.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I'm a franco in Ontario, lol!
Nicole
I love when people express their individuality through their doors. We often say eyes are the window to the soul, well, doors are the entrance to our lives.
